Open Court Male Youth Summit
The Open Court Male Youth Summit was created by Dr. Chance W. Lewis (UNC Charlotte), the late Jerry Duncan (Rise2Impact), and Charles Paul (Fathers and Men of Professional Basketball Players) to expose urban youth to the business side of professional sports, emphasizing the many career pathways available beyond becoming an athlete. Held annually during NBA All Star Weekend, this signature event, founded in 2019, brings together influential leaders, athletes, and industry professionals to mentor and inspire high school students. Through interactive panels, networking, and candid conversations, participants gain insight into careers in sports management, media, technology, marketing, education, and entrepreneurship. The Summit embodies a shared commitment to education, empowerment, and exposure, helping urban youth envision and prepare for success in college, careers, and life while connecting them to role models who exemplify excellence both on and off the court.
