International Conference on Urban Education 2020
POSTPONED until 2021
Over the course of this year we have been challenged to reevaluate our purpose and impact. As our nation grapples with COVID-19 and endemic racism, it is important for us to stay vigilant in providing opportunities to intellectually discuss the breadth and depth of the issues our communities face. As a conference, we are designed to provide a space where the voices of activist, educators, leaders, scholars, and students are validated and supported. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic the 2020 International Conference on Urban Education has been postponed until 2021.
All proposals that were uploaded will be reviewed for the ICUE 2021. All further details, including proposal deadlines, acceptance/denial notifications, proposal retraction information, and conference dates, will be posted on the ICUE website (www.theicue.org) in the near future.
It is important that we take care of our physical, spiritual, and emotional health as we journey through these uncertain times. Please support your local organizations and rallies to combat racism and visit your state, prefect, or regional public health website, local clinics, personal physician, and the CDC and WHO websites for valid information on COVID-19.
Stay safe and strong,
Dr. Stephen D. Hancock
Conference Director
