Urban Education Collaborative Director selected to serve as Visiting Scholar at the University of Wisconsin-Madison
Chance W. Lewis, Carol Grotnes Belk Distinguished Professor of Urban Education was selected by the Wisconsin Center for Education Research (WCER) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison to serve as a Visiting Scholar from February 21-24, 2013. Dr. Lewis will provide a series of lectures in urban education for the university community, K-12 community and Madison, Wisconsin community. Dr. Lewis’ visit is part of an ongoing program to: (a) celebrate outstanding contributions of minority scholars in education; (b) strengthen and build additional ties between faculty on the UW-Madison campus and minority scholars throughout the nation and (c) extend the number of role models for undergraduate and graduate students.
